Our Mass Tort team handles high volume drug and product liability cases. We have reviewed for Invokana, Jardiance, Hernia Mesh, Proton Pump Inhibitors, Essure, and Mirena.
Our Medical Malpractice team deals with the most difficult med mal and wrongful death cases.
Amy Lewis, BSN, RN
Amy is the founder of APERIO. She is a registered nurse with over 12 years experience in ICU, ED, PACU, Neuro Interventional, and the only stroke ambulance in Houston. Seeking new challenges, she began medical malpractice case evaluations & found a new passion. She has 3 years of experience evaluating medical records for Houston's top attorneys for product/drug liability, medical malpractice, and other health, injury or illness related cases.
Cindy M. Siptak, MSN, RN, CSPI
Cindy has a Master’s Degree in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin and 17 years of nursing experience. She is currently certified by the American Association of Poison Control Centers as a Certified Specialist in Poison Information with expertise in toxicology and pharmacology. Cindy’s clinical experience includes research, pediatrics, poison control , primary care, triage, and infection control. Her attention to detail and investigative skills lead her to begin a career as a nurse paralegal in 2016. She heads up APERIO's medical malpractice team and helps with mass tort.
Janet Jemio, BNS, RN
Janet has a bachelors degree in nursing. She has worked in a variety of settings including med/surg acute care, dialysis, neurology and ICU. Her diverse nursing experience gives her a sharp eye for details in difficult cases. Looking for other ways to apply her expertise, she became interested in legal nurse consulting. She is heads up APERIO's product and drug liability team and continues to enjoy part time work in a busy ICU.
